There are many approaches to preparing a raw diet for cats. I prefer to keep the recipe simple, as I care for a large number of cats with varying preferences. A straightforward formula makes it easier to accommodate different tastes while ensuring proper nutrition.

The core ingredients include chicken leg quarters, boneless skinless chicken breast, gizzards and/or hearts, and liver. The recommended ratio is approximately 80% muscle meat, 10% bone, and 10% organ.

Once the meat is ground, it is portioned and frozen for storage. When ready to serve, the food is thawed, mixed with water, and supplemented with the necessary vitamins and minerals before being offered to the cats.

I add Fiber, a multivitamin- Nuvet, taurine, and probiotics.
The amount of water I add is enough to make it easy to mix, but not too soupy. It all depends on how much meat you’re putting in a bowl.  you just have to play that part by ear.
